Responding quickly and effectively to emergencies is a major strength of Alliance2015 members.
Our members have significant expertise in humanitarian response and disaster risk reduction, ranging from nutrition and food aid to health, water, sanitation and hygiene, as well as protection and education. When a disaster strikes, rapid coordination starts between our members’ respective head offices and on the ground to maximize the speed and efficiency of our response. In a fast-growing number of countries, teams share critical information and develop joint emergency preparedness and response plans.
Alliance2015 members are engaged in joint responses in some of the most complex and challenging humanitarian crises such as in Ukraine, Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Ethiopia, Yemen, Pakistan and Venezuela.
Over the years, the Alliance2015 has developed an emergency toolkit to maximise the speed of emergency response on the ground while ensuring quality and smooth cooperation among partners. The toolkit contains guidelines for developing joint emergency preparedness and response plans, rapid assessment formats, guidance for field coordination in joint responses, guidance for emergency response action at Head Quarters and field levels, staff secondment Terms of Reference, agreed standards for quality delivery of humanitarian aid, MoU and agreement templates.
