A Response to the Venezuelan socioeconomic crisis and its migratory consequences in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru

Ayuda en Acción, in a consortium with ACTED, Helvetas, CESVI and one national NGO from Peru, is implementing since beginning of June 2019 the project “Regional Humanitarian Assistance: A Response to the Venezuelan socioeconomic crisis and its migratory consequences in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru”, co-financed by ECHO.

During one year, the project aims to increase basic humanitarian support for Venezuelan people suffering from the socio-economic crisis in their home country and the challenges faced when migrating to Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. At the same time, the project targets host communities and Colombian returnees.

In total, 20.000 people will benefit on one hand from actions that provide protection to migrants, i.e information dissemination and psychosocial and legal support, and in the other hand, activities that increase their food security through such as unconditional cash transfers and community soup kitchens.
